Graphic Design is a newer adventure I've taken on! I use my knowledge from my illustration work and my typography classes to best compose logos, shirt designs, and merch (seen in my shop!).
When a friend approached me telling me they bought a pizza place, I was super excited for them! Then they revealed they wanted me to design their new logo.
Upon hearing their rebranding idea of a 'Rock n Roll' and music themed establishment, I knew exactly what to do: incorporate vintage iconography of vinyl record culture into the design.
When it came down to these two idea, they couldn't pick just one so they chose both!
Now my logo designs decorate the family-owned pizza restaurant in Alabama called Rockin' Crust Pizza Co.
I start off with brainstorming logo by thumbnailing all sorts of ideas with different fonts, symbols and compositions. These designs were for an old attempt at a personal rebranding. Although it didn't stick, I still love what I came up with and may use for this logo for something else in the future.
I love designing tshirts! I used to work at screenprinting shops and now own my own DTF printer. These are designs I've made for my own personal tshirt production tests.
One of my first experiences as a Graphic Designer, the client found me during my pin-up drawing phase.
They wanted a design that fit their alternative rockabilly clothing brand and after exploring a couple ideas, they picked the horizontal logo with the babe sitting on their store name.
As a fan of Susie Berhow's Taxidermy art, I made a fan poster for one of her upcoming art shows. I incorporated it into a homework assignment where I had to make a magazine spread ad.
Featured at my art school's student gallery, my assignment from my Expressive Typography class required me to create a unique font type. Inspired by Elvira, Vampirella, and Betty Page, I came up with 'LEATHER BOOTS'.
An assignment from my Illustrator class where we designed clothing patterns fitting a theme of our choosing, which mine was the Greek mythological creatures such as the Cyclops, Medusa and Pegasus.
An assignment where we had to create a template for a printable paper doll design.
